About Us

The Plant Hotel began with a simple observation: plants, like guests, do better when someone is paying attention.

We are not a nursery. We are not a garden center. We are a small hotel for living things — a place where each plant checks in, is looked after, and eventually checks out with someone who will keep looking after it.

Every plant that passes through The Plant Hotel arrives with its own particular needs. Some want bright light and forgiveness. Some want humidity and patience. Some, frankly, want to be left alone. We think this is not so different from people, which is part of why we find the whole business so interesting.

Our plants ship directly to you, chosen and cared for with the same attention we'd give a guest who'd traveled a long way to get here. What you take home is not just a plant. It's a small, ongoing arrangement between you and something that's alive.
